The Djerassi Program is currently seeking applications from ALUMNI of the Djerassi Program in the disciplines below as part of an exchange with AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems program in Krems, Austria.
Visual Arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation art)
Media Arts/New Genres (film, video, multi media, sound art)

The selected artist will receive a two and one-half month long residency from Thursday, April 5 through Sunday, June 10, 2018, a stipend of 1,300 euros per month (in total 3,900 euros), paid in cash, and curatorial support by the curators of AIR Krems/Kunsthalle Krems. Artists must cover the cost of their airfare to Vienna. Transportation from and to the airport is offered by the AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems staff. Valid health insurance during residency is required.

The deadline to apply is August 25, 2017. Artists will be notified of selection by September 13, 2017. The applicants will be reviewed by AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems and they will make the final selection.

AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems was established in 2000 with the goal to host artists of various nationalities and to serve as temporary housing and workplaces and allow not only international but also an interdisciplinary exchange. The five studio apartments and common room were designed by Austrian architect Franz Sam and are located in a former carpet factory building.

The studio apartments are fully equipped with work space, Internet connection, kitchen, living-and sleeping room as well as a bathroom, a washing machine, dishwasher, bed linens and towels, cleaning service once a week. Residents have access to a large common room equipped with tools, televisions, DVD players, computers, Internet access, printers, copiers, fax and scanner.
