AIR ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE KREMS
The Djerassi Program is currently seeking applications from ALUMNI of the Djerassi Program in the discipline of visual arts and media arts as part of an exchange with AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems program in Krems, Austria.
The selected artist will receive a two 1/2 month residency in April/May/mid-June 2013 and a stipend of 1,000 euros per month, paid in cash. Artists must cover the cost of their airfare to Vienna. Transportation from and to the airport is offered by the AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems staff.
The deadline to apply is AUGUST 15, 2012. AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems makes the final selection. Artists will be notified by September 15, 2012
Please note that current Trustees of the Djerassi Program our not eligible to apply.

Djerassi Resident Artists Program

AIR Artist-in-Residence Krems was established in 2000 with the goal to host artists of various nationalities and to serve as temporary housing and workplaces and allow not only international but also an interdisciplinary exchange. The five studio apartments and common room were designed by Austrian architect Franz Sam and are located in a former carpet factory building.
The studio apartments are fully equipped with work space, Internet connection, kitchen, living-and sleeping room as well bathroom, a washing machine, dishwasher, bed linens and towels, cleaning service once a week. Residents have access to a large common room equipped with tools, televisions, DVD players, computers, Internet access, printers, copiers, fax and scanner.
